چکیده
New chemopreventive alternatives are needed due to the rising worldwide incidence of colorectal cancer. The objective was evaluate activity Moringa oleifera leaves (MO) in a colitis-associated colon carcinogenesis model. We hypothesized that MO contain bioactive compounds capable modulating expression genes involved inflammatory response and carcinogenesis. Forty-eight male mice (CD-1) were divided into six groups; 1: Healthy control; 2: Positive control induced with azoxymethane (AOM, 10 mg/Kg body weight, intraperitoneal injection) three cycles dextran sodium sulfate (DSS, 1.5% drinking water); groups 3, 4, 5 AOM/DSS supplemented 5%, 10%, 20% MO, respectively; group 6: had no disease induction MO. Mice treated for 12 weeks euthanized. Significant differences (p < 0.05) found moringa-administered morphological histopathological parameters compared control. A decrease myeloperoxidase (~50%) lipid peroxidation (1.9–3.1 times) 10% 0.05). showed significant increase (~3 butyrate propionate fecal cecal content. Anti-inflammatory effect of Fumaria parviflora leaves based on TNF-α, IL-1, IL-6 and antioxidant potential
Objective: In this study, we evaluated anti-inflammatory activity of leaves of Fumaria parviflora (F. parviflora) and underlying mechanisms by using in vivo models of inflammation.Material and Methods: Albino Wistar rats of either sex weighing 150 - 200 g were used. Soxhlet ethanol and aqueous extracts of leaves of F. parviflora (EFP and AFP) were prepared. The anti-inflammatory activity was st...
متن کاملPropylene-Glycol Aggravates LPS-Induced Sepsis through Production of TNF-α and IL-6
Background : Propylene glycol (1,2-propanediol, PG) is a commonly used solvent for oral, intravenous, as well as topical pharmaceutical preparations. While PG is generally considered to be safe, it has been known that large intravenous doses given over a short period of time can be toxic. Objective: To evaluate the effect of PG in sepsis induced by the bacterial endotoxin lipopolysaccharide (LP...
متن کاملMatrine Ameliorates Colorectal Cancer in Rats via Inhibition of HMGB1 Signaling and Downregulation of IL-6, TNF-α, and HMGB1
Matrine may be protective against colorectal cancer (CRC), but how it may work is unclear. Thus, we explored the underlying mechanisms of matrine in CRC. Matrine-related proteins and CRC-related genes and therapeutic targets of matrine in CRC were predicted using a network pharmacology approach. Five targets, including interleukin 6 (IL-6), the 26S proteasome, tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α...
متن کاملTNF-α, TNF-β, IL-6, and IL-10 Polymorphisms in Patients with Lung Cancer
Apart from cigarette smoking, genetic factors seem to be of importance in the development of lung cancer. The present case-control study investigated frequencies of five inflammatory response gene polymorphisms (TNF-alpha-308, TNF-beta-Intron1-252, IL-6-174, IL-10-819 and IL-10-1082) in patients with lung cancer and controls. The study population consisted of 117 patients with lung cancer (77 p...

Background: To investigate the expression of TNF-α, IL-6, IL-10 in the plasma of patients with lung cancer who received radiation therapy (RT), and to analyze the correlation between these cytokines and radiation pneumonitis (RP). Materials and Methods: Patients with lung cancer who received 3D-CRT in our hospital were prospectively evaluated. Circulating cytokine levels were measured wit...
